What this role is

• Leading due diligence and owner’s engineer mandates from financial close through construction

• Being the primary point of contact for lenders, sponsors, and off-takers, proactively, not reactively

• Managing five or more live projects simultaneously across the energy transition pipeline

• Writing and owning technical reports that clients trust and act on

• Mentoring junior consultants and helping build the next generation of the team

• Contributing to proposals and business development, spotting opportunities, not just executing them

What this role is not

• An IT or software delivery role; our PMs live in the commercial and technical world of energy infrastructure

• A box-ticking coordination position; we need people who anticipate problems, not just track them

• A role for someone who waits to be told what to do

You might be a fit if you

• Have worked in consultancy or at independent technical advisory and lender advisory organisations

• Know your way around FIDIC contracts, EPC structures, and OM agreements

• Have sat across the table from a lender's technical advisor, or been one

• Are commercially minded, can read a cash flow, and understand what financial close actually means

• Communicate clearly in writing and in person, and take ownership of what you send

• Are proactive by instinct, you flag issues before your client asks, and you close things out

Experience and qualifications

• Junior PM: 2-4 years in energy consulting or project development; strong academic foundation; hungry to learn

• Mid-level PM: 4-7 years with direct client-facing experience and track record of managing assignments end-to-end

• Senior PM: 8+ years with demonstrated lender advisory or owner’s engineer experience; CPM/Pr registration advantageous

• Engineering degree preferred but not essential, we hire for commercial acumen and attitude as much as technical credentials

• Willingness to travel across Africa for site visits and client engagements

Salary Range

• Junior PM: between R25 000 - R37 000

• Mid-level PM: Between R38 000 – R60 000

• Senior PM: Between R60 000 - R90 000
